Non-traditional wedding in Shoreditch & Islington Town Hall, the Hoxton.
T & D chose a wedding day that skipped the usual traditions and stayed true to who they are in a big way. From a laid-back pre-ceremony photo shoot in Shoreditch to their intimate ceremony at Islington Town Hall, their day was about them, their style, and their love.
The day kicked off with T & D hitting the streets of Shoreditch in their pre-wedding gear, blending the area’s cool, artsy background with their own vibe. Followed by a laid-back meal with their nearest and dearest. The ceremony at Islington Town Hall kept things small and it felt just as special. The highlight? A surprise Stormtrooper walking them down the stairs!
After their ceremony at the town hall, T & D nipped off for a final outfit change and their guests moved to The Hoxton in Shoreditch for the reception. Here, T went from bride to DJ, setting the mood for the big party.
The next year, I had the chance to photograph the wedding of one of T’s bridesmaids. It was great to see some familiar faces again and keep capturing their stories.
