T & D chose a wedding day that skipped the usual traditions and showcased who they are in a big way. From a laid-back photo shoot in Shoreditch to their intimate ceremony at Islington Town Hall, their day was about them, their style, and their love. This unique & chilled wedding really let me explore some non traditional wedding photography.

The day kicked off with T & D hitting the streets of Shoreditch in their pre-wedding gear, blending the area’s cool, artsy background with their own vibe. This part of London was perfect for showing off their fun and unconventional style right from the start. Followed by a laid-back meal with their nearest and dearest.
The ceremony at Islington Town Hall kept things small and it felt just as special. The highlight? A Stormtrooper walking them down the stairs—definitely not your everyday wedding moment and a great memory to have of your wedding day.
From Vows to Beats: The Hoxton Party
After saying their “I do’s”, T & D and their guests moved to The Hoxton in Shoreditch for the reception. Here, T switched from bride to DJ, turning their reception into a memorable party. Capturing these moments was all about getting myself into the mix and really soaking up that wild Shoreditch vibe.
Their wedding was a true reflection of their personalities—fun, relaxed, and uniquely theirs. Every photo from the day shows a bit of their spirit and how they make each other laugh, which really is what it’s all about.
The next year, I had the chance to photograph the wedding of one of T’s bridesmaids. It was great to see some familiar faces again and keep capturing their stories.
